Evidence of two types is required;
- CD Cover (done!)
- Safety Sign (original)
- Instructional Poster - Formal Etiquette
- Pick a theme/ idea - A Do/ Don't at the formal (i.e. drinking, what to wear
- Choose images and symbols that represent what you are trying to say
- Create a catchy title - BUT make sure the words match with your images and what you are trying to communicate.
- Make sure they combine to create the overall effect you are looking for.
Performance criteria
2.1 Information/ graphics selected enhances the communication
2.2 Graphic style selected enhances the message being conveyed.
2.3 Graphic info is presented in a manner that fits the context, the
subject matter, and the intended audience.

Range evidence of three advantages and three disadvantages is required.
1.2 Contexts in which graphics would enhance communication are identified.
Range evidence is required of three different contexts, each using a different type of graphic.

- Label the images
- Which is dominant? Why?
- Copy any words
- What do they relate to? (You may need to do some research about the band)
- Are there any symbols? What are they?
- What do they relate to and why?
- How do the images and words combine to create meaning?
- What is the overall effect?
- What are the advantages to the a) consumer and b) the music company of the cover?
- What are the disadvantages to the a) consumer and b) music company of the cover?
Think of a safety message you think is important and briefly describe it.
(If you are stuck; Sam, Josh - safety on the farm. Thomas - longboarding. Hamish - plumbing workplace safety. Andrew, design focused. Connor - accounting/ money.)
- List the images/ symbols you associate with this safety message.
- List the words/ phrases you associate with this safety message.
- Find examples of both on the interweb and copy them in.
- Arrange them to create impact - font, size, layout, colour etc.
